Terra de Guapes

The singer and guitarist Sandra Monfort leads this project that portrays Valencian folklore and popular culture. The show traces a symbolic journey through the native melodies: malaguenyes, cants de batre, the dance of La Moma, the muixeranga of Algemesí, the dance of the wake, the Mystery of Elche, touches of dolçaina and tabal, fandangos and albaes. In this way, Sandra Monfort transfers to the tables the research eagerness that she has developed since the moment she discovered the Sound Library of Materials of the Generalitat Valenciana when she was studying at the ESMUC. In addition, the show has the participation of musicians with a long career such as Efrén López (multi-instrumentalist; L'Ham de Foc, Capella de Ministrers), Andrés Belmonte (flutes and ney), Amanda Monfort (violin, choirs and synthesizers), Jordi Ortolà (percussion and sequences) and the dancers Julia Cambra (La Veronal) and Carlos Fustel (Operación Triunfo).
