Noelia Llorens 'Titana'

Valencian singer linked to root music and the recovery of oral tradition. His career stands out for her in-depth work on traditional Valencian singing, which she performs with a personal, expressive and deep-rooted voice. Titana explores the emotional strength of singing, collective memory and the connection between territory, community and popular culture. After her debut album, Titana (RC Studio, 2021), she is now putting out her second LP, Llum. In this recording she revisits some of the great themes of the traditional Valencian repertoire and recovers unknown pieces compiled by herself and the ‘dolçainera’ Susana Díaz. It also incorporates songs never recorded until now, adaptations and new compositions that dialogue with tradition from a current perspective. Finally, it should be noted that three of the pieces are reinterpreted from a feminine and feminist perspective, recovering stories and stories that have often been invisible.
