Brilla Carmen

Project by Víctor Ballester from Castelló, who was a singer and composer of the group deBigote. Six years after the band’s last album, Telescopia (2017), the musician began his solo career with a couple of singles and the subsequent edition of the album Ahí vos quedeu (2025). The germ of the project was her mother’s neurodegenerative disease, named Carmen, and the consequences it had on their relationship. This is how the composition “Grans i vells” was born, where he signs verses such as “You make the nights places less dark and the days absent-minded”. As a result of that song, Ballester found a common thread with which to structure a repertoire of seven pop tunes with electronic atmospheres and with the complicity of friends, colleagues and family such as flassshback, Remi Carreres (Glamour, Comité Cisne, Jean Montag), Pilar Rabanaque (Mar Morález), Tórtel, Jordi Ballester and Estela Martínez. He has been accompanied live by Enric Alepuz (Gener, AnimalPersona, Quinto) and Estela Tormo (Júlia).
