Abraxas + Hugo Mas

The Oil Revolution was an anarcho-syndicalist uprising that took place in AlcoI in 1873, when the town was heavily industrialized and there was a strong workers' movement. During that general strike, the proletariat took the city and the mayor Agustí Albors, known as el Pelletes, was assassinated. To remember and vindicate that struggle, the singer (among other things) Hugo Mas and the industrial electronic artists We Are Not Brothers, Abraxas and PanDemian have developed a collaborative work that was embodied in a 5-song EP published by the Valencian labels Industrial Complexx, Música de Telers and Abraxas Records. In this way, they present a work that goes beyond the strictly artistic, sound and musical elements and enters the historical and political sphere.
