Doña Manteca

A band based in Valencia marked by a love of Latin rhythms. The group is made up of vocalists and instrumentalists Elena (guitar) and Paula Almendros (double bass) and Empar Mora (violin). With their repertoire they pay homage to artists whose songs have transcended the barrier of time and, therefore, are known by all generations. In this way, they include compositions by Los Panchos, Antonio Machín, Chavela Vargas, Jarabe de Palo, Jorge Drexler or Natalia Lafourcade, among others. Some of these songs are part of Doña Manteca's debut album, Presente, published by Satélite K last April and which also features some of their own songs. For the staging they use vocal harmonies and guitar notes, as well as the sounds of percussion and string instruments.
